Pastor, Wife, 8 Church Members Killed!
To describe the auto crash that claimed the lives of a couple, and eight other members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) traveling from the monthly camp meeting on the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway to Ondo town as tragic is an understatement.
Three of the victims, a Zonal Pastor in Ondo Province 2, Pastor Dominic Folorunso Akinseye, 52; his wife, Beatrice; and Pastor Festus Akinsoyinu Fadakinte, were staff of the Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo while the seven other passengers in the bus were staunch members of the church. Reports had it that the impact of the crash was so much that it took time before the mangled bodies of the deceased persons could be removed from the wreckage.
Seven persons died on the spot while four others were rushed to the Trauma Centre in Ondo town but three others later died.
Father Legally Marries Son After 52 Years Together
A couple who were legally father and son for the last fifteen years had their adoption vacated and were married this week after 52 years together.
Norman MacArthur, 74, and Bill Novak, 76, were married in Pennsylvania on Sunday. The couple, who has been together since their 20s, registered as domestic partners in New York City in 1994, but in 2000 they moved to Erwinna, Penn., where domestic partnerships are not legally recognized. “When we moved to Pennsylvania, we had both retired and we were of the age where one begins to do estate planning,” MacArthur says.
“We went to a lawyer who told us Pennsylvania was never going to allow same-sex marriage, so the only legal avenue we had in order to be afforded any rights was adoption.”

Boko Haram Attacks Will Be Over Soon, Says Buhari.
President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned Friday’s terrorist attack on Maiduguri, warning that his new administration won’t tolerate wanton and willful destruction of life by criminal elements that are bent on anarchy.
Reacting to the attack, which left scores of people dead, injured and maimed, President Buhari said in a statement issued by his Head of Media Team, Garba Shehu, that his administration meant business in its determination to tackle terrorist violence with all the resources available to his government.

He told the court after 18 years in a barren marriage, his wife, Folake charmed the children to love her and hate him.
Olabode claimed that Folake, was using charms on his children to love, respect and obey her while she did the opposite for him.
“My wife has added charm to the food she used to give my children to eat, they have excessive love, respect and obedience for her but my children failed to do same for me. She is using my children against me, anytime both families come to settle our quarrel, all my children will speak against me, supporting her by castigating me in their presence. Anytime we are arguing, she attacks me first by slapping me; and when it degenerates into physical combat, she bites me, leaving scars on my body,” he said.

President Buhari : We've Not Banned Anyone From Travelling
President Muhammadu Buhari says officials of past administrations including ministers are entitled to their full rights and privileges under the constitution and must not be subjected to any undue harassment and intimidation at the airports or at other points of entry and exit.
"We have not banned anyone from travelling," said the President.
Responding to some cases of "V.I.P stoppages" at the airports as reported to him on Saturday, President Buhari directed all agencies under the government to run their affairs in full compliance with extant rules, regulations and the constitution of the country.
Buhari, Osinbajo Declare Assets
President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo have declared their assets in line with provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by Buhari’s Head of Media Team, Garba Shehu.
The statement said that the Code of Conduct Bureau on Friday acknowledged the submission of the two leaders’ assets declaration forms.
The forms, the statement said, were submitted separately on May 28 and signed for by the organisation’s Chairman, Sam Saba.
