179 Years: Meet The Oldest Man In The World Living In India


A retired cobbler from northern India, Mahashta Mûrasi, claims he was born in January 1835, making him not only the oldest man on earth, but the oldest to have ever lived, according to the Guinness World Records. 

Indian officials revealed he was born at home in the city of Bangalore. He reportedly lived in a place called Varanasi since 1903. He made a living from shoemaking until 1957 before he retired at the age of 122. His birth certificates and identity cards all confirm the truth behind his age claims. 

"I have been alive so long, that my great grand-children have been dead for years. Somehow death forgot about me... And now there's hardly any hope left. Look at the statistics, nobody dies past 150, even less at 170. At that point, I guess I'm immortal or something. I might as well enjoy it!" 179 years old Mûrasi said.

Possessed Father Eats His Baby Alive


A pindrop silence occurred in the township of Tabubil, Western Province area of Papua New Guinea when a week-old baby was eaten alive publicly by the father. The awful scene was later demostrated at a police station in the presence of gravely-shocked unlookers, including policemen and the town’s senior district court magistrate, Patrick Monouluk.

An eyewitness reported the people of the area have been extremely vigilant and living in fear of cannibalism. Children have been restricted from going out for fear of being the next victims.

Nigerian Embassy In Saudi Arabia Snubs President Buhari’s Family?


According to a report by the Leadership, the Nigerian embassy in Saudi Arabia this week side-stepped protocol by giving preference to former Vice President Namadi Sambo and his entourage of 15 family members over that of President Buhari when both arrived for the lesser Hajj (Umrah) in Saudi Arabia.

The Umrah is performed by Muslims from all over the world who converge on the holy city of Mecca to observe the ritual, which can be undertaken at any time of the year but mostly observed during Ramadan.

The pilgrims perform a series of worship activities symbolising the lives of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his second wife, Hajara.

Leadership gathered that both families arrived in Saudi Arabia this week for Umrah and while Aisha Buhari and her five children were allotted two-bedroom accommodation, the former vice president was allotted an eight-room apartment.

Leadership also learnt that while not a single protocol officer and vehicles were posted by the embassy to attend to the president’s family, a protocol officer and vehicles from the embassy were attached to the former vice president and his family.

Wife Uses Hot Knife On Teenage Niece Her Husband Allegedly Molest


One Mrs Chibuzor Onyeji has been arrested by the Delta state police command for allegedly causing bodily harm to to her 13-year old niece, (names withheld) whom her husband was defiling on a constant basis.

According to THISDAY, the woman reportedly burnt her niece on many parts of her body with a hot knife she allegedly intentionally heated over the flames of a stove for the purpose of disfiguring and crippling the girl. The girl was seriously burnt on her two feet, arms and shoulders, back and buttocks .

Mrs Onyeji reportedly carried out the act after her husband, Francis Onyeji had been abusing the teenager sexually for about two years.

Francis, who hails from Imo State, was said to have had regular canal knowledge of the young teenager and then giving her some money, which the poor girl used to buy herself a few things including food as her aunt often denied her her meals.

Francis’ affair with the teenager was exposed when the girl reportedly said the money she had brought to school last week had been stolen and accused some of her classmates of tampering with her bag. The school authorities out of curiosity sent a senior staff to follow her home to ascertain if the affected girl actually took money amounting to about N1,500 to school that morning.

Sex Starved Monk Stabs Prostitute To Death For Not Satisfying Him


Police on Thursday night arrested an acquaintance of a 37-year-old woman found stabbed to death in Matsuyama City last year, reports the Yomiuri Shimbun.

Police took Yoshinori Kurumi, a 29-year-old Buddhist monk from Tokushima City, into custody for killing nail artist Miki Kuroda insider her third-floor apartment.

The suspect is reported to have repeatedly stalked the victim before he killed her.

“She worked part-time in the fuzoku (sex-related) trade, and he was her customer; that’s how they became acquainted. On several occasions, he stalked her. He posted defamatory messages on adult-service promotion sites,” an investigator said.

These posts, which described the victim’s ‘sex’ services as “bad”.  And surveillance camera footage eventually lead police to Kurumi.

The suspect hired a private detective to do a background check on the victim to find out where she lives.

On getting to her apartment, the suspect posed as a delivery man. He attached a delivery slip to a cardboard box that concealed a survival knife, the weapon used to carry out the crime.

Drama As Court Sends Ex-Gov Sule Lamido To Prison


There was a mild drama Thursday in Kano between former Governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Sule Lamido and the Deputy Chief Registrar of Federal High court, Barrister Solomon Akpedah when the former was excused to move to a waiting van for a journey to Kano central prison.

The Peoples Democratic Party stalwart was docked for 28 count charges alongside his two sons, Aminu and Mustapha, and one Wada Abubakar in connection with alleged corruption and money laundering of over N1.34 billion.

The former governor shortly after he lost his freedom, following the refusal of the court to grant his bail application exclaimed, ‘you mean I’m now a prisoner’

But the Deputy Chief Registrar of the Court, Solomon Akpedah, in order to calm the traumatized Jigawa-born politician responded; ‘No sir, you are not a prisoner.’

Justice Evelyn Anyadike while ruling on the bail application said that all the four accused persons should be remanded in Kano prison pending the appointment of a vacation judge to decide the veracity of the application.

I Will Deny My Husband Sex Until He Pays His Debt : Wife


A 39-year-old trader, Mrs Modinat Idowu, told an Igando Customary Court in Lagos state on Thursday that she would continue to deny her husband, one Akeem Idowu, sex until he has paid the debt he is owing her.

Idowu said this while responding to a suit filed by her 45-year-old husband whom she had been married to for 12 years.

“I have been denying my husband sex because he borrowed N690,000 from me and has refused to pay, I will continue to starve him of sex until he pays the money,’’ the mother of two said.

“Akeem is in the habit of swearing and cursing me with a charm called `Ishan egungun’: a specially prepared masquerade’s rod and this is affecting my life.’’

She, however, urged the court not to grant her husband’s wish for the dissolution of their marriage, saying that she is still in love with him.

The petitioner, Akeem, a businessman, had asked the court to dissolve the 12-year-old marriage over alleged sex denial by his wife.

“My wife does not want me to touch her nor make love to her, I am tired of the marriage because I am neither a stick nor a stone,’’ he said.

Police Arrest 100 Beggers In Kaduna


The Kaduna State Police Command, on Thursday said it had arrested more than 100 beggars and hawkers in Kaduna metropolis, following the state government’s ban on such activities.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the ban on begging and hawking was on Tuesday announced by the state government as part of security measures it adopted after a suicide attack in Zaria which claimed 27 lives.

The command’s spokesman, DSP Zubairu Abubakar told NAN in Kaduna that the arrest followed massive raid on major streets of the state capital.

Abubakar said those arrested included hawkers and some physical challenged persons caught begging on the street.

Boko Haram’s Days Are Numbered : Buhari


Troops  of 3 Division of the Nigerian Army and officials of the Department of State Services, DSS, have arrested the mastermind of the coordinated bombings in Jos, Plateau State and Zaria, Kaduna State on Sunday and Tuesday, respectively.

President Muhammadu Buhari has, meantime, declared that the days of Boko Haram are numbered just as the United Nations Secretary-General, Mr Ban Ki-Moon, commended his determination to fight Boko Haram.

Military sources in Abuja said the terrorist kingpin responsible for the Jos and Zaria bombings was arrested at a checkpoint in Dadin Kowa, Gombe State.

The alleged mastermind was said to have disguised and hid in a trailer in order to beat security but was spotted by eagle-eyed members of the Special Task Force. He was arrested with two alleged accomplices.

“The arrested terrorists are currently being processed for further action and would soon face the full wrath of the law,” the source said.
