Kano State police command has said that Malam Umar Mohammed and Mustapha Idris, both officers with Kano State Fire Service, were allegedly in trouble for kidnapping and raping an eight-year old girl.
This was just as the security operatives nabbed a woman who allegedly stole a new born baby from the hospital.
Kano State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Idris, further stated that the duo conspired and kidnapped the minor, raped her severely and demanded for a ransom of N1 million from her father, as well as negotiated for another ransom from the girl’s mother.
The CP, who disclosed this while parading Umar on Monday, said that Mustapha, who evaded arrest, was being trailed by a special team of policemen from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
