Bobbi Kristina Brown’s grandmother Cissy Houston has
revealed that she is “not progressing at all” after apparently emerging from a
medically-induced coma last month.
Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in a bath at her home
in Georgia on 31 January.
Houston told Entertainment Tonight in the US: “She’s the
same, she’s not progressing at all.
“She’s not gone yet, but you know, whatever the Lord
decides, I’m ready for her … I have nothing to do with that. That’s His job.
It’s His territory, you know? And I understand it.”
Bobbi Kristina’s mother Whitney Houston died from accidental
drowning in February 2012.
Family friend and gospel singer Kim Burrell said in February
that doctors had put Ms Brown in a medically induced coma to stop brain
swelling.
But her father Bobby Brown shocked fans at a concert in
Dallas in April that she was “awake” and “watching me”.
She is now being treated at an undisclosed location.
On Friday lawyers revealed that Brown and Bobbi Kristina’s
aunt Pat Houston have been appointed her co-guardians.
In a statement they said that judge appointed them to have
joint responsibility in decisions related to her care and medical needs.
The statement also said lawyer Bedelia Hargrove was
appointed conservator to oversee Bobbi Kristina’s assets, including the estate
she inherited when her mother died.
Brown’s lawyer, Christopher Brown, said in a statement in
April that she has opened her eyes.
Cissy Houston said she is grateful for all of the support
the family has received.
She said: “I’d like to thank everybody who was praying. Who
really knows the worth of prayer and I’m sure it’ll get through.
“You know, praying along with me. It’s all I can tell you.
I’m just waiting for whatever happens.
“We go to the hospital every day and pray and, you know, I
talk to (Krissi) because she can still hear, and I rub her hand and whatnot.
“My daughter-in-law and my son, we do what we can do. The
rest is, we can’t do anything about because that’s all up to Him.
“We know nothing about his plan.”
