A recent revelation by a humanitarian Non-Governmental Organization named Refuge Network International about the state of African migrant camps in Morocco has exposed the poor state of lives of migrants. The illegal immigrants were estimated to be 40,000 with most of them Nigerians.
Many migrants live in forests, mountains and makeshift camps in conditions so bad that even animals might find it challenging to survive there. All that separates the inhabitants from the harsh unforgiving north African weather are small improvised huts made up of a combination of polyethylene material, cardboard paper, pieces of stones, sticks and damaged car tyres.
.
The migrants have been reportedly starved of all the facilities capable of making life comfortable. They are so malnurished and survival has been a game of the survival of the fittest. This has forced the immigrants to engage in heinous crimes just to survive.
Mental illness is another prominent problem in the circle as the stranded immigrants are badly frustrated and bitter about life. The most painful part is the level of stagnancy in their lives. They can't proceed to their destination and are unable to return to their countries.
