Mercy Aigbe : I Reveal My Cleavages In Classy Way

Multiple award winning actress, script writer, movie producer and C.E.O, Mag Divas Boutique, Mercy Aigbe, in a chat with Entertainer opens up on movies, business and how piracy is short changing the motion picture industry.

Snippet:

How has this year been for you entertainment wise?

I will say it has been good and I give God all the glory though, it has not been smooth all through. I must confess that I have encountered one or two ups and downs but God has been faithful.

What project are you working on presently?

Presently, I am working on bringing my movie to the cinemas. It is entitled Victims. It was directed by Lancelot Imasuen. It features stars actors like Olu Jacobs, Fathia Balogun, Seun Akindele, Ju liet Ibrahim, Saheed Balogun, and Funsho Adeolu.

Why the choice of Lancelot for directing?

I had an opportunity of working on a project with Lancelot and I spoke with him. I asked him if he would like to do a Yoruba movie and he accepted. Victims is an ultra modern Yoruba film; it is a double scripted movie and the outcome is wow! You know, Juliet has never featured in a Yoruba movie but the way the script was written, she didn't have to speak too much Yoruba and besides, she is a fast learner. It was a good experience for her and for Lancelot who is only used to directing 100 per cent English movies; it was also an opportunity for him to showcase his competence. experience for her and for Lancelot

When should we expect the Part 2 of Osas Omoge Benin?

Why is everybody asking about it now. I read comments on my Instagram and twitter accounts and they are all asking for the same thing. Anyway, everybody should just keep their fingers crossed even though it is taking like forever. What I do know for certain is that at the end of the day, my fans should expect the best from me. I actually don’t want to mention a specific date yet. What my fans should expect from me for now is Victims; it is going to be premiered in the U.K and the U.S and it will also be going to the cinemas.

Osinbajo Testifies At Redemption Camp

Vice-President-Elect, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has appreciated Nigerians for their love, support and vote during the just concluded March 28 presidential and National Assembly elections.

Speaking during the monthly Holy Ghost Service of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, at Redemption Camp, Kilometer 46, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Prof. Osinbajo, who is the Pastor-in-charge of Lagos Province 48, attributed the All Progressive Congress’ victory at the election to God’s favour.

He said God saw the party through the campaign period and eventually crowned its efforts with victory, adding that his emergence as the vice president of the country is a special gift from God and a fulfillment of the General Overseer’s prophecy.

In his words: “We were campaigning for over four months on air, road, rail, everywhere and God saw us through, protected us and kept us from harm. And on March 28, God crowned our efforts. I thank God for the special gift and I thank God for marking me out as a person and giving me the position of the vice president-elect. This is a fulfillment of Daddy G.O’s prophecy earlier this year that among RCCG ministers, governors, ministers will emerge from the Redeemed Christian Church of God and they will be used by God”.

Admonishing the congregation on the theme of the programme; “Fulfilling Destiny”, General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye described destiny as God’s plan concerning one’s life and that such a plan has been settled before the creation of the world.

He explained that occasionally, there can be delay in destiny due to human interference but God has the power to nullify such interference.

Highlighting how one can fulfill destiny, the cleric said: “Watch what those who fulfilled destiny did and follow them, notice what those whose destinies were truncated and avoid their errors, watch your temper, honour God, obey God to the last letter, let your obedience be complete. Do not rest until you reach your goal, keep on praying and fasting”.

At the meeting with thousands of the RCCG workers briefly after the Holy Ghost service, Pastor Adeboye said   it is paramount for them to fulfill destiny, bear fruits, save souls through evangelism, establish churches, teach amongst others.

WHO : Ebola Transmission Via Sex May Be Possible

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has issued an interim advice on the possibility of Ebola Virus of being sexually transmitted.

The WHO had directed all Ebola survivors and their sexual partners to receive counselling to guard against possible transmission of the disease.

This is contained in a statement made available by WHO to newsmen in Lagos today.

It indicated that the sexual transmission of the Ebola Virus was yet to be established.

“The sexual transmission of the Ebola Virus from males to females is a strong possibility, but has not yet been proven; less probable, but theoretically possible.

“Studies have shown that Ebola virus can be isolated from semen up to 82 days after symptom onset.

“A recent case investigation identified genetic material (RNA) from the virus by nucleic acid amplification tests (such as RT-PCR) 199 days after symptom onset.

“This is well beyond the period of virus detecting ability in the blood of survivors and long after recovery from illness.

“The detection of virus genetic material many months after symptom onset is assumed to reflect the continuing, or at least very recent, presence of live and potentially transmissible Ebola virus.’’

“More surveillance data and research are needed on the risks of sexual transmission and particularly on the prevalence of viable and transmissible virus in semen over time, WHO said.

WHO recommends that, in the interim, all Ebola survivors and their sexual partners should receive counselling.
It added that this is to ensure safe sexual practices until their semen has twice tested negative; and survivors should be provided with condoms.

“Ebola survivors and their sexual partners should either abstain from all types of sex or observe safe sex through correct and consistent condom use until their semen has twice tested negative.

“Having tested negative, survivors can safely resume normal sexual practices without fear of Ebola virus transmission,’’ the statement added.
